Service Description: ACMA MySwitch digital television signal coverage with signal strength of 1 to 6 (1 being weakest signal and 6 being strongest).
This dataset should not be used for decision making. This coverage layer of television transmission signal coverage is not a guarantee that any transmission tower shown is currently operational.
The MySwitch.com.au website allows a user to enter an address and find out where the strongest television signal is coming from to that property. This layer has been made by downloading the transmission information for all of those transmission towers and combining them into a single layer.
This is modelled data only and should not be used for decision making purposes.
The mySwitch output relied on comprehensive, terrain-based coverage modelling generated by the ACMA's state-of-the-art coverage prediction tools. Please note that while the mySwitch data has been updated from time to time as new TV transmissions are commissioned, the transmitter data and files reflect coverage predictions as at 2014 for the great majority of sites. Therefore, there may be some differences between the mySwitch data and the current situation.
